As I mentioned on my homepage, I have been building PCs for ten years, from simple machines for mainly browsling the web, email and playing simple games, to powerful gaming systems. I became interested in computers first at school, but when my mom got her first pc to write her novels on, well . . . my brothers and I just couldn't wait for her to leave it for five minutes so we could take it over!

We were gamers from the start. After all, we already owned a few of the game consoles of the day. Now we had a new venue! Eventually, Mom wanted her PC all to herself, so she got us one of our own. At the time, she was on her third custom built PC. I have to say, we were hard on our machines . . . and Mom's . . . In and out of the repair shop constantly.

Then one day, without warning, our PC guru and fix it man moved away.

We all had issues to be ferreted out and upgrades to our hardware we wanted. What were we to do?

The American Way is to do whatever is necessary to get the job(s) done. That is exactly what we did. No, we didn't find another guru to help us. We learned to care for our own needs, and to build our own dream machines. As the old saying goes, "Practice makes perfect". Of course, unforseen circumstances slap all of us down. Even the most demanding perfectionist runs into walls at times. I'm sure you know exactly what I'm saying, don't you? Life isn't always kind. Never promised to be. But, I digress . . . After dozens of custom builts under my belt, most of the mysteries are solved. I'm very confortable working with the components of a PC. Happy to say, I'm now the GoToMan for just about any question or issue to do with the inside workings of someone's machine.

Yes, I have other interests! Among them are learning to program games with my brother, Tristen. If it's got something to do with a computer, I'm there.
